The Design

At the initial meeting with our client, it was obvious they were wanting to create something special. From their joint desire to achieve a unique Period Style looking Kitchen with all the ‘Bells and Whistles’ to the must have Falcon Cooker and peters Retro style Smeg Fridge. The current layout was not functional and the small centre table, although useful as bench space, was not practical.

The non-load bearing pantry was removed and a doorway relocated to allow for the new design. This opened up the area considerable and allowed for the back wall to be utilised for the feature custom designed mantle to house the Falcon Cooker. Glass display cabinets with Colonial Bars were used to break up the otherwise ‘heaviness’ of the mantle and allowed for feature display lighting to be incorporated.

The Peninsula bench is a generous 1200mm deep creating a striking impact as well as providing for casual seating for two. All the boxes were ticked and the client’s expectations exceeded. A great outcome for all.
